I am a retired teacher (hence the Eduguy ID) from Maryland. About 25 years ago, a good friend & fellow teacher, asked me for some help. He was a record collector and was about to start producing his own record shows in the Baltimore - Washington area. He needed my help in making sales at the tables that held his records. After a few shows, I quickly realized that I could also make some good money selling records.
I was a yard sale / flea market junkie and saw hundreds of records during a weekend. I began buying records & tried to sell them at his shows. I quickly learned that CONDITION was the #1 criteria with collectors. Many of my Lp's went unsold due to scratches & other condition problems. One day, at a yard sale, I saw a box of about 50 records that had never been opened. I bought the box & at the next show, I easily sold 90% of them. There was no question about condition! From that point on, everytime that I visited a yard sale, flea market, second-hand, or record store, I only purchased unopened or sealed records.
Today, I probably have 6000-8000 factory sealed Lp's from the 1950's to the 1980's in all categories. For those of you who believe that vinyl still excels in sound quantity over cd's will rejoice in having the opportunity to purchase virgin vinyl from my website.
I am a small one-man operation. All of my records are in my house, and I fill orders in between visits to the golf course. In fact, my record sales pay for my golf habit! For the past 8 years I have sold records to over 800 satisfied (100% positive feedback) customers on Ebay. Here are some sample comments:
